Hello Gorgeous

Here's a card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge at
Splitcoaststampers and HERE is the lovely card which
inspired me from Priscilla's (catluvr2) gallery!
I'm entering this into the Moxie Fab Hip on Handwriting Challenge, I just
love this new set from Wplus9 Handlettered Hello.
I'm practicing for a class I've signed up for which starts in May -
I used watercolours and watercolour paper for the bacground
and added die-cuts.  The stems were made using Memory Box
Bella Bouquet in three layers and the flowers using
Elizabeth Craft Design Flower dies.
I was excited to get the Hand Lettered Hello Die and
The die cuts a gorgeous "hello" and the stamp
set includes different sizes of "hello" as well as sentiments
to mix and match with it - I love the thought of brightening
someone's day with a card that says "hello gorgeous"!

Lavender Meadow

Sharing a card today that I made for a colour/inspiration challenge
at Splitcoaststampers based on the palette and photo below:

The background is stamped with various Color Box inks and
then stamped the flowers with WPlus9
Fresh Cut Florals - love this set!  The grass is stamped with
Inspired by Nature by Stampin Up.
Next I sprayed the whole thing with water and layed a paper towel over
it to lift off some of the colour and soften it.
I then stamped more grass with a bit more definition.
The sentiment is from Sentimental Favorites by Flourishes.
The white sequins have a lavender sheen so
they seemed just the right finishing touch!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

SNSS New Release Friday Feature

Hello and welcome to the SNSS New Release Friday Blog Hop and Challenge!
Today we have two fabulous stamp sets and two die sets to highlight for you:

I really enjoyed creating with the Thankful Blooms stamps and
Thankful Blooms Die set - it's so easy to put together a little trio of
flowers and layer them up!  I used the Doily Border dies along
with some pearls.  Love this sentiment - a listening ear is a true
gift and definitely deserves a thank you!
Take a look at the full set and dies below with all the details:

Stamp set measures approximately 4" x 6".
The largest bloom measures approximately 2" x 2 1/4".
Designed by Korin Sutherland.
Stamp set priced at $15.
Die set priced at $15.25.

What a collection of beautiful sentiments in Thankful Innies - I definitely
will be using them just as much on the front of cards as in the inside!
For this card I stamped the sentiment on vellum banner with Color Box
Black Licorice ink.  The background is stencilled
with Stampin Up Pool Part and Blushing Bride ink.
Take a look at the full set with all the details below:

Stamp set measures approximately 6" x 4".
The "tender care" sentiment measures approximately 2 1/2 x 1 1/2".
Designed by Korin Sutherland.
Stamp set price at $15.

Word dies are so much fun!  This Mother Word Die cuts so
beautifully and easily - I popped the die-cut up on a stencilled
background using Stampin Up Lucky Limeade ink,
before adding a meaningful sentiment
from Thankful Innies.

Die measures 3 3/4" x 1".
Designed by Korin Sutherland.
Die priced at $7.25.

Our challenge for you this week is to create a Mother's Day card!
The first 11 cards in the hop were created for your inspiration
by the design team.  As you enjoy the hop, leave some love behind, and
then create your own Mother's Day card,
using the linky tool to add it to the gallery.

Country Jar

A card made with the layout for the sketch challenge at
Splitcoaststampers today, given to us by Allison.

I used a favourite set, Garden Picks by Flourishes, colouring
with copics and adding some little dots - this flower image
has a light, airy look which seems to suit this technique.
Each panel is sponged with Ranger Distress ink, both Scattered
Straw and Frayed Burlap.
The dp is from October Afternoon.
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Birthday Dots

Here's a birthday card made using the newly released
Lots of Spots from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!
I've come to love the color combo of teal and blush pink and I used a
Ranger Distress Ink Blending tool to sponge the card base
with Stampin Up's Pool Party and Blushing Bride ink.
The dots are stamped with white embossing ink in a random
pattern across the bottom right corner.
I then cut some circles from vellum and sponged a few
with the same ink colours, layering them in a random
way to create some dimension.  The sentiment is also
from Lots of Spots, I like how the various words can be
be mixed and matched.  I finished with a few sequins -
due to light reflection, sometimes sequins photograph with a slightly different hue,
these actually accent the ink colour much better than it looks!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Fine Feathers

I've had so much fun with the feathers in the Waltzingmouse
Fine Feathers set and coordinating Fine
Feathers Dies - I love how soft and delicate they
turn out when embossed in white on vellum!
My card is for three challenges:
The Featured Stamper Challenge at Splitcoaststampers
HERE is the beautiful card which inspired me
from Lisa Young's gallery (aka genesis).
I used a stencil with Stampin Up's Cool Caribbean and
Blushing Bride for the background.
I used an Sizzix embossing folder for the Spellbinders Nestie
Circle in SU Blushing Bride cardstock.
The sentiment is stamped on vellum with Color Box Black Licorice Ink.
Thanks for stopping by today, have a great Sunday!

Poppy Hello

A card for the CASE Study Challenge #185, the Muse is
Jaclyn Miller and here is the beautiful CAS creation for our inspiration.

I used Poppies in Jars by Stampendous, colouring with copics
and spritzing with watercolour paint, before adding a few
sequins and popping up the white panel on dark gray.
The sentiment is from Flourishes Dahlias.
Short and sweet, not a lot to explain! :)
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Bows, Bows, Bows

Here's a card made for the Paper Smooches Anything Goes

HERE is the fab inspiration photo from Amber's Damask Love blog
I used one of my favourite sentiment sets,
I made bows with MFT's Dainty Bows Die-namics from felt.
I like using felt for bows since it "smooshes" down flat in an envelope
and then pops right back into shape, no damage done.
Now my only problem is - how will I decide WHICH of my
friends gets this card - they're ALL special!
Thanks for stopping by today, have a good one!
